I have a smart speaker and a smart tv. I even have a smart thermostat (which I installed myself and that made me feel incredibly smart.) One thing I never expected to be labeled smart: keys. But hello 2020, here we are.
Technically it’s the key holder, and not the keys themselves, that is smart. Your house key is still your house key. But instead of clanging around in your purse, or making your pocket bulky, it offers smooth lines and contained clutter. I’ve tried for years to be as minimalist as I can with my keys. I keep only my most-used tags on the key ring and only the necessary keys. I have separate key rings for the things I don’t use daily. Still, I have dreamed of something better.
I love that the KeySmart folds all the keys and tags together, Swiss Army Knife style. Slick, and smooth, with no bulk in my pocket.
I also love how easy it is, when necessary, to swipe out whichever piece I need at the moment.
While I don’t have a regular need for a bottle opener, I have to admit it’s handy. I use the end as a screw driver fairly often, I must admit. It also comes with a build-in LED flashlight. Helpful for digging in purses and bags as well as getting the key in the lock the first time.
But all of this is just design. What makes it SMART? Well this key organizer (the KeySmart Pro) works with Tile Smart Location. You think you won’t lose your keys, but we’ve all done it. Wouldn’t it ease your mind to locate them immediately with a touch on an app?
And yes, that means this thing will require power. Fortunately the designers have that covered with an included charging cable so you can easily recharge. No teeny tiny batteries required. (Can you imagine?)
They’ve got a few special editions available, including this Star Trek one. Of course you can always go with something more simple and classic. Either way, you’ll be glad to have everything so nicely organized. No more getting poked by the keys? No more bulk, mess, noise? Best of all: no more worry about losing your keys?
Make it so.
