As August is Water Quality Awareness Month I wanted to tell you why drinking filtered water is essential to you and your family’s health.
I was shocked to learn that every single day a person requires at least 20-50 liters of safe and clean water (washing, drinking, and cleanliness).
Sadly, due to the aging infrastructure in the United States, we are currently in a water crisis.
On a daily basis, new areas are popping up with reports of water contamination which has included finding lead, arsenic, radium, PFOAS and more in our drinking water.
Tap water can also include TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) which can affect the taste and quality of your water. TDS can be made up of several different types of compounds (including but not limited to): calcium, magnesium, iron, sodium chloride and sulfides (which are compounds frequently found in groundwater supplies).
In the United States, the FDA allows a TDS of 010 ppm for purified drinking water. The EPA recommends a maximum of 500 ppm for tap water. When I tested our water here in Northern Virginia our TDS reading was 115 ppm. We had been using another water filter brand for years which in actuality was doing nothing to make our water safer to drink.
ZeroWater is the ONLY water filter that leaves 000 dissolved solids for the purest tasting water.
It is also the ONLY filter that has been certified by the NSF to reduce both lead and chromium. It has a premium 5-stage filter vs. the standard 2-stage filter.
After installing the ZeroWater filter for the first time in our home, I tested the TDS reading and our water was at 000 ppm. I could taste and smell the difference in our water right away and so could the rest of my family.
My husband and I want to make sure our family is safe from drinking unsafe water. This is why we chose to use ZeroWater and will continue to do so. What are you waiting for? Learn more about ZeroWater here.
