For months I have been stumped on what to purchase my 12 year old daughter for Christmas this year.
Asking her what she’d like for Christmas isn’t much help. The question is met with a shrug, an “I’ll have to think about it,” or a “I’m Still thinking!”
My daughter will be going to middle school next year so I wanted her big gift to be something that she could use for school but also for fun. After talking it over with my husband, we decided to purchase her a computer.
One of the main reasons a computer was our product of choice was because she LOVES to write. We have dozens upon dozens of notebooks filled with her stories and thoughts. Now, while I love her stories, I don’t like the clutter it makes.
After doing some research on computers, my husband and I decided to get the Lenovo Legion Y7000P.
Why the Lenovo Legion Y7000P? Well, I’ll tell you.
My husband and I wanted a high-quality computer that would last our daughter until high school. I really love the Lenovo Yoga 710 laptop that I have so I decided to stick with the same company. I like Lenovo because they have high-quality laptops without the expensive price tag.
All of the Legion laptops are built to meet the varied standards and demands of a busy life. Whether you are using it for education or gaming (or both) it can keep up.
The laptop comes with a 1 year limited warranty which was a must. It is loaded with Windows 10 Home 64-bit and has Intel Core i7-8750H Hexa-core and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 with 4 GB GDDR5. With 8 GB DDR4 SDRAM and 1 TB HDD you can be sure that this computer can store lots of games and stories as well.
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that it has Bluetooth as well. I love how well built the computer feels and looks. I love that the keys light up (at two brightness levels) for easy typing late into the evening (which hopefully our daughter won’t be doing).
Navigation with the Y7000P is smooth and all the applications launched quickly while testing it out for my daughter’s use. No hardware or software issues were noticed at all either.
My only issue with the laptop is that it is a bit heavy. However, my daughter will be using the laptop at home 99% of the time so no worries there.
I am so excited to gift my daughter the Lenovo Legion Y7000P for Christmas. Writing her first novel will be so much easier with her Lenovo laptop and I for one can’t wait to read it!
