When you think summer don’t you immediately think Root Beer Floats? I do! There is nothing better than the cool flow of Root Beer over vanilla ice cream on a hot summer day. What better way to celebrate #NationalRootBeerFloatDay today than with a bubbly sweet Root Beer Float?!
My Husband is what you would call a “Root Beer Connoisseur”. He’s tried every kind of Root Beer he can get his hands on. On Father’s Day a few years ago I hunted down as many variations of bottled Root Beer I could find as his gift! Whenever we are out and about it’s Root Beer that fills his cup. With all the hundreds of variations he’s tried, he always goes back to A&W as his number one choice for the best tasting Root Beer out there. For this reason, we always have 2-Liters of A&W Root Beer in our fridge.
A&W Root Beer has a long history of creating family memories. For us, my kids know what it means when we pull those frosty mugs out of the freezer. Root Beer floats are a super easy and fun treat to put together for family time. We set one night per week aside for what we call “Family Home Evening” where we plan for the schedule for the upcoming week, wind down and talk about what’s important to us as a family and individually, and of course finish it off with a treat! A&W Root Beer floats are perfect for us because they’re quick and easy, and my kids love putting their own float together. Even my 4 year old likes to scoop her own ice cream!
The product, information, and gift card have been provided by A&W so that I could try the product and share my thoughts and information about A&W Root Beer. The opinions expressed in this post are my own and do not reflect the opinions of A&W.
If you feel like breaking out of the classic Root Beer with Vanilla Ice Cream float, head over to www.rootbeer.com for “float how-to’s” and more recipe inspiration. We love Root Beer floats and they just wouldn’t be the same without A&W Root Beer.
Celebrate tonight with a “Family Home Evening” of your own and send the summer out wth a bang while you drink A&W Root Beer Floats on National Root Beer Float Day 🙂
