Either your children have finished school for the year, or they are finishing up soon, or they are too young for formal school. Regardless, if you live in the northern hemisphere there is no denying that summer has arrived.
Suzi Shelton‘s new album, Hand In Hand, is the dance party you’ve been awaiting.
The album is full of optimism and pep, defying you to stay still or stay sombre. As I played the album in the car my littlest one kicked his feet and sang along. I wanted to invite some preschool-aged friends over for a living room dance party but the end-of-school stuff overwhelmed me too much. I shall try later in the summer. However I couldn’t wait until after the dance party to share this album with the rest of you. Maybe you can get your act together faster than I! Pick up this album full of positive affirmations, joy and cooperation, and plenty of movement. As Suzi sings in the very first song, you’ll “put your hands in the air and make a joyful sound.”
