Oh, the weather outside is frightful and sadly we can’t always be sitting by the fire that’s so delightful. We’ve many places to go and thanks to See Kai Run I can say…let it snow. let it snow. let it snow.
Keeping my kids, especially my 6-year-old son, warm and dry during the cold, fall and winter weather is no easy task. He is bounding into piles of snow before I have a chance to zip up his coat. Think a cold icy, rain shower will stop him? Those wet fall leaves? No chance. So I knew I had to find some high-quality shoes that could keep up with him and also keep his little feet warm, dry. Who did I turn to? See Kai Run, of course!
About See Kai Run
See Kai Run® is a family-owned and operated business located outside of Seattle, Washington. The idea was born when founder Cause Haun was on a quest for the perfect first pair of shoes for her son, Kai. Unable to find shoes in fun, cutting-edge styles that still promoted the healthy development of growing feet, she created her own line of shoes that satisfied all of these needs.
In 2008, See Kai Run introduced its answer to the soft-soled baby bootie with the birth of Smaller®, giving parents another option for outfitting their little ones. Smaller combines the same quality materials and urban flair as its bigger counterpart, but with the unstructured softness of a bootie.
All of See Kai Run’s shoes meet the American Podiatric Medical Association’s rigorous standards for foot health and functionality and have been awarded the APMA’s prestigious Seal of Acceptance.
Reviewing the Dane (Gray Denim) and Jack from See Kai Run has been an absolute thrill.
Dane is an adorable high-top shoe that has an easy to use adjustable hook-and-loop strap. It molds perfectly to my son’s feet and is flexible and lightweight. The herringbone lug pattern provides wonderful traction and the removable sock liner is lined with leather for extra breathability. The padded collar and tongue offer extra cushion and comfort. My son absolutely adores his Dane shoes and has proudly shown them off at both church and school. He tells me that his 1st-grade friends think his shoes are “pretty cool,” too. They a great shoe for year-round wear but especially for Fall and Winter given their high-top style.
Watching my son jump in puddles, wet leaves or snow in the Jack boot is a joy to watch. With the 3MThinsulate™ thermal, lining good to -35° I can rest assured that is feet will keep warm. The seam-sealed, waterproof membrane construction and water gusset keeps water/debris out while also being resistant to 10000mb pressure/4 hours. The retro design features faux-fur cuffs, reflective details with hook and loop strap with elastic laces. The rubberized rand and toe increase durability with a lining that pops out so feet stay fresh. The rubber traction sole and the comfortable footbed means feet stay comfortable all day long.
This Christmas I am planning on picking up a few more pairs of shoes from See Kai Run. My kids know to expect a few fun gifts but also practical items as well. I am loving the Sawyer II and the Montlake. My daughter no longer fits in See Kai Run shoes but I am hoping they will expand to larger sizes in the near future (fingers crossed). See Kai Run continues to amaze me with their high-quality, comfortable shoes and boots. I am so grateful that I can turn to them when I need kid friendly shoes.
Thanks to See Kai Run I know that my son’s feet will stay warm, dry and toasty even if the rest of him doesn’t.
I received these products complimentary for the purpose of this review.
