Hallowe’en night after I came in from trick or treating with the kids I changed out of my costume and turned on Brady Rymer‘s new album to keep me company while I passed out candy. I prepared myself to explain to my husband that it was for the blog, which was true, but if I’m being truly honest with myself (and you) I just can’t resist Christmas music. Old stuff, new stuff, I love it all. Revvin’ Up the Reindeer is a solid addition to the new music lineup.
Whether you celebrate Christmas, Chanukah, or Kwanzaa, Rymer has you covered in this eclectic, inclusive, modern holiday romp. Little Baby New Year also gets a shout-out, and I know we ALL celebrate the new year. I love that the songs are not exclusive to one celebration or another. My children love learning about other cultures and celebrations. I love to see their excitement as they share in the joy of their friends’ special events.
While there are some tender ballads, the songs on this album are primarily high energy. Think of it as the music you listen to while decorating, crafting, gifting, and playing.
Sing along with their title track!
For as much I as love the old classics, and I do, deeply, I also love adding to the collection. I welcome new music, especially music as fun as this.
I received access to this album free or charge for the purpose of this review.
