On the second day at Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana, I woke early to do a tour of the resort with Maritza, the sales manager. Maritza has a wealth of knowledge about the resort and it was so fun to learn about the inner workings behind Nickelodeon Punta Cana.
One of the highlights from the tour was touring ‘The Pineapple.’ The Pineapple is the resort’s signature dwelling and any fan of Nickelodeon and Spongebob Squarepants would LOVE it. The 2-bedroom/3-bath Pineapple features amenities that are modern and luxurious accommodations.
The décor is Bikini Bottom-inspired, including the indoor and outdoor living and dining areas, a private master suite with a king size bed, smart TV and closets. The oversized marble bathroom is complete with double sinks, an indoor shower, as well as an inviting Aguas del Amor outdoor shower and freestanding tub. The second bedroom is on the upper level of the villa’s loft-style living room and is complete with two single beds, TV and private bathroom (perfect for the kids).
The living room features a pull-out sofa bed, dining room, TV, play area, storage space, a private bathroom and access to the Suite’s sublime private gardens and patio where the Pineapple’s signature infinity pool, sun-bathing beds, dining and living area can be found.
Staying in the Pineapple offers many amazing amenities;
-private butlers take care of your family’s every need from a pre-arrival questionnaire to ensure your preferences are in-suite to pampering services during your stay. Butlers will also arrange tailor-made private activities such as a moonlight beach dinner prepared by a world-class chef, wine tasting, an in suite tea, pizza or pajama party.
-private tour of the property, activity bookings, preferred access to all restaurants and spa, and daily premium magazines and newspapers.
Next time I visit the resort I want to stay in the Pineapple! Isn’t the decor AMAZING?! Pictures don’t even begin to do it justice.
While on the tour I also got to visit ‘Just Kiddin’-part clubhouse/artist’s studio, where parents can drop off their children (4-12 years old) to have supervised free play or structured activities. I think it would be every child’s dream to have a clubhouse like ‘Just Kiddin’!
After my tour I met up with my family at Sugarcane for breakfast. Sugarcane features a food display with meal stations where certain elements of the meals are made right before your eyes. Sugarcane serves breakfast and dinner and each evening they feature a different type of cuisine.
We stopped by during Mediterranean and Asian night to try a few plates and everything was delicious. Our family really enjoyed eating at Sugarcane namely because of the ease of finding something that each member of our family liked. I must also mention the decor. Live plants grow out of the walls (I couldn’t for the life figure out how accomplished this), bright plates, glowing lights and painted signs lend to the unique and eclectic vibe of this fun restaurant.
When full we decided to head to the beach. I was surprised and thrilled to find out that the ocean water wasn’t freezing and was pleasantly warm. My 5 and 10 year old had a blast playing in and out of the ocean waves. We even managed to get a family photo!
After playing at the beach for an hour or two we decided to head over to Aqua Nick. Aqua Nick has something for everyone; water slides, water cannons, water bucket, splash pads, spray grounds and a lazy river.
Plan to be at Aqua Nick at 3pm daily! There is a fun dance party with the Aqua Nick crew and afterwards a sliming!
Check it out below;
Now it’s SLIME TIME!!!!!!!
However on our way back we ran into Dora and Boots at Character Central–so we had to take a photo!
The lovely decor featured chandeliers, a ceiling painted with pasta shapes and photos of celebrities along the walls eating pasta. Sadly, the lighting was dim so I wasn’t able to get any good photos of our food. Thankfully, I was able to get a few photos of the decor.
After our dinner we headed back to our room to relax for the evening.
