Last week my family and I traveled to Dominican Republic for the first time to experience the All-Inclusive Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts in Punta Cana. I am very excited to share my thoughts and experiences I had while staying at the Hotel and Resort.
At Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana everything is included per the Karisma Gourmet Inclusive® experience. That means all complimentary gourmet cuisine is included (gourmet à la carte restaurants, lavish food displays and 24 hour room service) as well as premium drinks, personalized service and unforgettable activities hand-selected for guests also.
Upon arrival at the resort we were immediately welcomed by smiling staff members and ushered into a large and welcoming lobby. The lobby is decorated in a modern style featuring Nickelodeon’s signature colors orange with accents of gray and yellow.
Champagne was offered to the adults and the children received green slime smoothies at check-in. It was a great way to unwind from the hours spent traveling.
The helpful staff drove us to our hotel room via cart (the main transportation for the resort). We learned that each hotel building at the resort has its own security and concierge which is very convenient. If you want to reserve a cabana or make a reservation at a restaurant all you have to do is talk to your concierge and they will take care of it for you.
Each room at the resort is unique (the resort features 9 types of rooms). Our room the ‘Swim-Up Pad Suite’ features a terrace with pool access right outside of your sliding glass doors, a 42″ smart TV, a safe, two double beds, a pull out couch, a mini-bar (restocked daily), double sink bathroom, freestanding tub, rainforest shower-head, and more.
Designed in the style of the resort lobby our suite had bright, fun colors. I loved the fun details throughout the room; Nickelodeon Blimps at the foot of each bed, a privacy shade behind glass that can raised or lowered (the shade features a clothes line with Spongebob Squarepants clothing hung up to dry) and an outdoor sofa.
If you are bringing an infant or toddler alone there is no need to bring everything with you! Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana has ‘Gotcha Covered amenities’; baby food, strollers, monitors, baby baths, cribs, kids’ spa robes and baby bottle warmers and more.
We walked to Gourmet Village, a central hub for many of the resort’s restaurants, to find Spacewalker restaurant. We were lucky enough to secure an early reservation for an ‘out of this world’ dining experience.
Spacewalker features interstellar cuisine and from the moment we walked in the restaurant I knew we were in for a huge treat.
It was super fun to hold onto Spacewalker’s light-up menus that showcased their unique menu. Spacewalker listed appetizers as “Countdown” and entrees as “Take Off.” The many options on the menu include; Space Shuttle Shrimp Cocktail, Avocado Panna Cotta Salad, Big Dipper Artichoke Cream Soup, Tuna Creole & Steamed Rice, Paprika Chicken and more.
At Spacewalker the waitresses wear purple wigs and metallic outfits which add to the space theme.
We liked Spacewalker’s food and love how they go above and beyond with the fun ways they present the food.
Getting back to our room was a challenge because a torrential downpour caught us- that’s a tropical island for you! Of course we made the best of the rain and had an impromptu dance party with live music–! It was SO fun!
