Bedtime is tricky sometimes. I have been reading about how to make it… stick. Little Man seems to think that bedtime is more like playtime these days so I needed to make a change. All the blogs are telling me I need consistency. If I do the same routine each night before bed, he’ll know it’s bedtime and his brain will naturally start to prep itself for sleep. Makes sense, right?! I decided there’s nothing more relaxing than a warm bath so I added that to our routine and it’s been working fabulously. In my opinion, it’s not just the warm water, but the smell of the baby soap that does the trick.
You know how the top of a baby’s head smells like ice cream and marshmallows and fairytales and rainbows? Baby Magic has somehow magically bottled that smell. After 65 years in the making, I guess they’ve perfected it! I can’t seem to get enough of it. It really does smell Baby Magical.
Baby Magic revolutionized the ad scene nearly 65 years ago with their “For Every Lady in Waiting” campaign. They showcased expectant mothers in designer maternity clothes doing fanciful things. In the 1950s, it was really out of the ordinary to have pregnant Mommas sporting their baby bumps for all to see. To celebrate 65 years, Baby Magic wanted to revisit and update that same campaign with a modern twist that’s an unusual sight in 2016: Dads! Baby Magic has taken those original ads and created a fun spin that you do not want to miss out on. Check out the whole recreation here with Dads in the Making.
I was super excited to participate in this campaign and re-create one of the 1950s ads with my own creative spin. I’m not a professional photographer by any means but I think my re-creation turned out pretty fun.
