So, here’s the thing. I love to snuggle my Little Man. He gets a ton of affection all day long from his sisters, Daddy, Grandma- both original and great-, and of course, his Momma. Sadly for this sweet baby, he is my fourth. I absolutely have to put him down every once in a while and that is not his favorite thing. He makes sure I know that setting him down on the ground is not acceptable (sometimes I worry that the neighbors can also hear his rage). He’s just not one of those babies that is content with sitting alone playing with toys; he is so used to being held and cuddled all the time. Now enter: the Hugaboo. Boo yah.
The Hugaboo is an infant chair that snuggles your baby when you can’t. When I first read their slogan, “The Next Best Thing to Being in Mom’s Arms”, I knew I absolutely had to have a Hugaboo like, yesterday. My little guy is six months old and is starting to sit up on his own but he does that rolling tumble thing and I can’t always catch him fast enough. The Hugaboo lets him sit on his own and learn independence, while also supporting him and preventing the dreaded “tip over”.
It’s super soft and cuddly and I can totally see why it’s second to Mom’s arms. It’s really like a tender hug squeezing their little bodies and helping them feel secure while you’re tending to other motherly duties, or simply just taking a breather. I don’t know about the rest of you but after an hour of toting around 17 lbs. of baby, there’s this little triangle in the middle of my back that starts to throb in pain… Ouch. Now I can sit him down in a safe infant chair that will keep him entertained.
One of my favorite features of the Hugaboo are the toy rings on the front! I can hook his toys right to the Hugaboo and I don’t have to keep running back and forth retrieving them because they aren’t going anywhere. I am all about making life easier as a parent and this has really helped us out. Little Man can stand to be put down for a few minutes, I can make dinner without a baby on my hip, and everyone is happy. Yessss.
