My kids started school a few weeks ago and already the weather is starting to change from summer to fall. I knew with cold weather right around the corner I needed to get my kids some high-quality clothes for Fall.
I decided to head to Pike & Rose a new shopping development located in Bethesda, Maryland to see what they had to offer. Pike & Rose has many stores that I absolutely love; Gap, Gap Kids, Baby Gap, Francesca’s, Nike Factory Outlet, Lucky and a few brands that were new to me Yogaso and Seasons Olive Oil & Vinegar Taproom. Pike & Rose also has many restaurants you can stop in between shopping; Carluccio’s, & Pizza, La Madeleine, Roti Mediterranean Grill, Starbucks, Tutti Frutti and more.My first stop was Seasons Olive Oil & Vinegar Taproom, a family run business that features flavored Olive Oils, Vinegars and other products from around the world. I tasted quite a few of the Olive Oils and Vinegars and was amazed at their wide variety of flavors and quality.Next up was a stop at Yogaso. From the minute you walk in Yogaso you feel like you are in a whimsical land of childhood. Brightly colored toys line shelves, unique clothing is scattered around the perimeter while a delightful middle display features bags and shoes for little ones.
Yogaso was founded in Maryland in 2011 by Alem Beshir; her vision for Yogaso was inspired by her multicultural background and her three children. Yogaso features designer clothing lines from Spain, France, England and more.
While in Yogaso I purchased a beautiful lace dress from a Spanish designer for my daughter. The dress is delicate, detailed and so feminine. My daughter has received many compliments on her dress. I wish Yogaso had one in my size!
Next we stopped at Gap Kids for both my son and daughter. Now, I have been in plenty of Gap Kid stores but I need to say that Peak & Rose’s Gap Kids was one of the cleanest, well organized Gap Kids I have ever been in. The employees were also very helpful and kind. While there I picked up the perfect MUST-HAVE for Fall/Winter a chunky cable knit sweater for my 5 year old. He loves how soft it is and that it isn’t “itchy.”
My 10 year old and I found a darling red dress with little white stars for a deal we couldn’t pass up. It is a perfect dress for school & playdates and can easily transition into a cold weather dress with a sweater and a pair of tights. She loved it, I loved it–win/win!
I can’t wait to go back to Pike & Rose to shop and dine some more. In fact we may stop by on October 8th for PIKEtoberfest. Pike & Rose will shut down the street and celebrate fall with live music, children’s activities, sidewalk sales, food, a craft beer tent and more fun from 1-4pm.
So whether you are looking for a place to hang out, meet up for drinks after work or shop, Pike & Rose has it all!
