My husband has a lot of toys. He spends hundreds of dollars on remote control cars, dirt bikes, and lawn mowers. It’s fun to be able to use a nice lawn mower when you have a big lawn to mow, or a super nice barbecue when you have a big family to feed. It’s easy for him to “see the need” when the spending benefits his fun. But Momma needs her fun too.
For me, this means Strollers. A multi-functioning, gorgeous stroller can turn a bad day into the best day. A great stroller makes me want to get out of the house and take my kids to the zoo or on a stroll to the park. It’s a motivation for me and my kids get to have fun in the process. Since I’ve created a small army of children at my home, a one seat stroller just isn’t going to cut it. Now enter:
This double stroller has changed the way I see double strollers. I honestly wasn’t sure how I would feel about the bottom seat. I thought the child on the bottom would be angry about his obstructed view but boy was I wrong! It has been the most amazing transition for us with my Little Man. He has not been a fan of being strapped into anything so I figured I would have the same result with this stroller, but in fact, it was the opposite. The first time I took the stroller out for a walk in my neighborhood he was happy as a clam and really seemed to enjoy himself down there! I decided to be really brave and take all four of my kids out for a trip to the Boise Zoo and amazingly enough, we had the same happy results. My Little Man loves this stroller which I love because I feel like we can finally get out of the house and start to do some fun things together as a family.
The Britax B-Ready Stroller actually has 14 different seating options in conjunction with the 2nd seat like we have, a bassinet for a smaller baby, with an infant car seat, or simply as a single. I love that this stroller is capable of toting around all different ages and accommodating you as your family grows. The basket underneath is one of my favorite features. It’s ginormous. For the zoo trip, I brought my big nursing pillow, 2 bottles of sunscreen, hats for all my kiddos, sunglasses, snacks, water bottles… and they all fit with room to spare. And don’t even get me started on the zippers!! There is a zipper on both sides of the basket, and also one in the front so you can easily grab at anything in there from any direction. Yes. Please and Thank You. I could have still fit my diaper bag down there but I like to hang it from the handle bar with stroller clips so I have super easy access. Even with the second seat totally upright, my diaper bag still had room to hang. It rested nicely right on top of the second seat without adding too much pressure to the umbrella.
Britax did reach out to me and let me know that they definitely don’t recommend hanging your diaper bag on the stroller handlebars with stroller clips. It can be a tipping hazard and they would feel terrible if something happened to any of our sweet littles so please use caution when using the stroller, and please don’t leave your babies unattended. I think there are probably a lot of parents out there that don’t realize this can be a hazard and do hang their large diaper bags on the handle bars without thinking like I did. Even as a seasoned parent, it’s always a good idea to check the warning labels and be sure to steer clear of anything that could potentially be harmful to our babies. I’ve included a screenshot from my B-Ready user guide book so you can see their warnings and please use your good judgement when using this stroller 🙂
The rubber wheels are filled with foam and the whole stroller is made with a frame suspension system making this the easiest stroller ever to push around. It glides so smoothly into small doorways and I’m able to turn all the way around without taking up a lot of space. Having the second seat on the bottom makes the stroller so much smaller lengthwise so it almost doesn’t even feel like it’s a double stroller at all. I’ve had doubles in the past that are nearly impossible to turn without some serious elbow grease because they are so dang long. I don’t have that problem at all with the B-Ready.
Both seats recline flat which is perfect for nap time. When Little Man fell asleep, I laid the seat all the way down and covered him with my car seat cover. He slept like a, well … baby 🙂 I was a little worried I would knock my legs with the second seat fully reclined but I didn’t even notice it when I was walking.
I absolutely love this stroller and I know you will too! It has been my most favorite double stroller ever. Because it has so many seating options, you can B-READY with whatever changes you need to add or make as your sweet family grows. I am a true believer. Thanks, Britax! You have made my Little Man so happy and my life much easier 🙂
