Nipple Confusion. For some reason, those two little words are totally terrifying when you are a breastfeeding Mommy. There are a million people out there trying to give you advice when you’re a mother; “you should never give a baby a pacifier until they’re at least six months old because of nipple comfusion”, or “I hope you aren’t planning to use a bottle when you’re breastfeeding, you’ll confuse your baby and they’ll start liking the bottle better…” It’s hard to know what to do and let’s be honest here people, Momma needs a break from Dairy Queen Duty every now and again! The best alternative to the breast is something that mimics it. Bare Bottle says to breastfeed as long as you can, and they’re here to help 🙂 The Bare Bottle has a unique design with what they’ve termed as Flow Control Technology. This allows for the baby to eat in the same way they would from your breast. If your baby has a weaker suction like a sweet little newborn would, the flow will be slower. If your baby is older with a stronger suction, the flow will be faster. The baby has complete control over the flow of the bottle to prevent overfeeding and to stop nipple confusion.
I haven’t been able to use Bare Bottle yet with my little guy but I am so excited to have it when the time comes to give him a bottle. It’s great to be able to have something that won’t force my baby to learn a new skill. With the Bare Bottle, he should be able to latch right on the way he would if he was breastfeeding. It seems like every time I try to give my babies a bottle, they choke on the milk because it’s coming out to fast, or they can’t get the milk fast enough because the nipple is too restrictive. Bare Bottle has made a much easier transition from breast to bottle for all of us Mommies without the fear of those two little words. 🙂
