We all know that kids love playing with electronics. My littles are always stealing my phone to play games and watch Netflix. I find my phone in the most random places; the toy box in the playroom, underneath their beds, in the bathroom cupboard, it’s been a little ridiculous. I thought about just deleting the kids apps from my phone, but I want to be able to use the apps while we are out and about when I need to keep those sweet little mouths quiet. I especially want those apps to be useful for their little minds. I try to choose things that I know will aid in making them smarter and something they can also have fun with while they’re learning.
Captain McFinn’s Swim & Play App is a fabulous learning app for preschoolers, aiming for kids ranging from ages 3-5 years old. The brand’s goal is to help littles become good people. The app helps kids learn to be polite, encourages them to play well together in a group setting, be thankful, and respectful to others; all things that are super important to every parent while raising our kids. We want our special little people to grow up into kind and respectful big people, and Captain McFinn is helping to aid in that process by providing apps that will encourage good behavior. I don’t know about other parents out there, but I can use all the help I can get.
Captain McFinn’s Swim & Play App is an interactive underwater adventure where kids can meet with real life Explorers on a submarine, and discover a whole new world under the sea. The Explorers are live and interactive, encouraging the child as they play and learn through the three different worlds, each focused on mastering different behaviors. Although the kiddos can see the Explorers, the Explorers can’t see them.
My girls have all loved this app! The graphics and colors are so adorable and vibrant, and the interactive feature takes this app to a whole new level. I haven’t seen anything else like it out there in app land and my kiddos have gotten such a kick out of playing the game. My three year old about died when the Explorer in the submarine called her out by her name! She was so excited. There is so much to do and so many new experiences to be had, creating tons of fun. The Explorer guides your little swimmer fish through the game, teaching life lessons as they go. I love that my kiddos are having fun playing games, all the while learning to become responsible and respectful little people. My littles have been stealing my phone even more these days, but now I feel a little more inclined to share 🙂
You can download the app from the App Store on your iPhone or iPad, and it is also featured on the Nabi Elev-8, the most advanced children’s tablet by Fuhu.
