There are times during the day I just need to sit back and relax (basically I lock myself in the bathroom with my phone). To stay sane I need to forget about the laundry, the dirty dishes and the screaming kids for a few minutes. To clear my mind I like playing games on my phone. Puzzle games are my all time favorite! A Puzzle App that I just discovered (and am obsessed with) is Light in the Dark. Light in the Dark is a game in which you must blend, reflect and control light in order to solve different puzzles and move objects. Basically, two “light parents” have lost their precious babies and want them back. The babies have wandered off into dark corners and have fallen asleep. In order for their parents to find them the parents must use their light to enter these dark spaces.
Each of the “light parents” give off a certain color of light that changes from level to level. In order to wake the babies up the “light parent” needs to bathe it in their light. The problem is that you must use different obstacles to reflect, block or blend the light (with other light sources) to create new colors. This may sound easy but it can be quite a challenge especially when you are faced with grumpy monsters that get angry when light is shined upon them. When the baby or babies are exposed to light the level is solved (but you MUST get three stars to end the level successfully and move on).
If you get stuck (which you probably will–I did) you can use the hint system. You get three free hints but after you use them up hints will cost money *unless you watch an advertisement.
There is even a color blind mode for those players that might be older or difficulty distinguishing colors.
With over 30 achievements, 96 levels (more to come!!!!!!) and many more features in future updates, Light in the Dark will keep you busy for a long time…even locked in a bathroom.
