Review: My Little Pony-Rainbow Rocks

October 2, 2014

Click Communications: BLOGGER BUTTONS &emdash;

My Little Pony Equestria Girls the movie was so successful last year that Screenvision has teamed up with Hasbro Studios and Shout Factory to bring the full-length feature My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks to more than 300 cinemas across the U.S. and Canada beginning September 27. I was able to go see My Little Pony: Rainbow Rocks last night with my son and daughter and we loved it.

My Little Pony: Rainbow Rocks features all the characters your kids love from Canterlot High; Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity and Fluttershy. The girls are about to perform in a talent show at the school with their band, The Rainbooms when three troublemakers; The Dazzlings (aka Sirens) arrive at CHS and use their evil powers to convince the students to turn the friendly show into a battle of the bands. Tensions build and feelings are hurt. Sunset Shimmer (who is back and now reformed) realizes right away that the Dazzlings are up to no good. The Rainbooms call upon Princess Twilight to help restore peace among their world and to help them preform a counter-spell so that they can bring happiness back to Canterlot High. Can the Rainbooms do the spell correctly and save the day? Can friendship bring everyone together again? You will just have to see! The movie is filled with fun music and funny bits. I caught my daughter and son laughing a number of times at the silly antics (especially Pinkie Pie’s sweets obsession!). At the end of the movie everyone left smiling and happy. In fact, my kids are asking me for the DVD already–we LOVED My Little Pony-Rainbow Rocks–it’s great for the whole family.
