You guys. Raise your hand if you have a hard time getting your kids to eat? Raise your hand again if you feel like you might pull your hair out every time you make something amazing for dinner and they won’t even try one bite?? I’m not gonna lie people, I’m a fabulous cook and my hand was raised both times. It’s infuriating placing a home cooked meal on the table only to have it shoved onto the ground in disgust (yes that has actually happened to me). My kids are impossible sometimes.
So what can you do as a parent to make things a little more interesting in the kitchen? Moore’s Marinades and Sauces have been spicing up our life for the last few weeks. Surprisingly my kids love vegetables- thankfully- and my five year old was a huge fan of the Moore’s Blue Cheese Buffalo Wing Sauce to dip her cucumbers in. I think the cucumber was just cool enough to cut the spice in the sauce and she loved it! With little kiddos, you usually can’t go wrong with chicken nuggets, but we changed it up a little and dipped them in the Honey BBQ Wing Sauce and my three year old gobbled it up and asked for seconds.
I also made a killer Buffalo Chicken Dip using the Moore’s Original Buffalo Wing Sauce, and the Creamy Ranch Buffalo Wing Sauce. Yes, with Buffalo sauce with Ranch. Those two together are the perfect flavor punch and I’m pretty sure my hubby inhaled the dip and forgot to chew.
Here’s what I did:
I boiled a few chicken breasts until they were cooked through and super tender. Then I put the full breasts in my kitchen aid mixer with the paddle attachment, drenched it in the Creamy Ranch Buffalo Wing sauce, and shredded the heck out of it.
Next I put the shredded and sauced chicken in a bowl, added about 6 oz. of softened cream cheese and 1-2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese, and then doused it with the Moore’s Original Buffalo Wing Sauce.
I mixed the whole thing together and put it in the oven at 400* for 10-15 minutes until it was bubbly and all the cheese was melted. I added some crumbled bacon on top and we ate it with tortilla chips but you can also serve it with celery sticks or sliced cucumbers if you want a little healthier option.
We’ve loved the Moore’s sauces and marinades. They are perfect for adding some new flavors into your kitchen. With the weather warming up, I plan to make shish-kabobs with the Asian Teriyaki Wing Sauce this weekend 🙂
